SHEFFIELD election results wrap up
As counts wind down and all 29 seats that were up for election are declared in Sheffield, here's the run down:
- Labour: 15 seats (+2 from previous election)
- Liberal Democrats: 7 seats (-2 from previous election)
- Green: 6 seats
- Independent's: 1 (+1 from previous election)
- Conservative: 0 (-1 from previous election)
Highlights from the day:
- The conservatives lost their only seat as Labour gained on Stockbridge and upper Don, with Labour's Mark Whittaker earning 2,399 votes, a landslide victory compared to the Conservatives 1,341 votes.
- Turnout in Sheffield was 31.87% this year

Barnsley Local Elections Completed
With Old Town Ward's councillor announced that concludes the Barnsley election count at the Metrodome.
Labour councillor re-elected in Old Town Ward
Phil Lofts, Labour Party, has been re-elected in Old Town Ward with 1130 votes.

Labour take Conservative seat in Penistone East Ward
John Roberts has been elected in Penistone East Ward with 1533 votes.
Notoriously a Conservative stronghold, the Conservatives followed with 156 votes.
Labour now have control of the Ward.

SHEFFIELD: Labour gain in Southey
Labour gain in Southey with Gareth Slater re-elected with 1438 votes.

Three Labour Seats in North East Ward
Dorothy Coates has been elected with 1085 votes.
She has now filled the third seat in the Ward.

996 re-elkected
Roy Bowser has been re-elected in Worsbrough Ward with 996 votes.

Deborah Jane Pearson has been elected with 1060 votes in Dearne South Ward.

Mandy Lowe Flello has taken the seat in Penistone West with 1414 votes.
The Lib Dems also won in 2023.

Karen Dyson has been re-elected with 955 votes.

SHEFFIELD: Labour hold on in Manor Castle
Councillor Elle Dodd holds on for the Labour party in Manor castle with 1881 votes.
