Sky Sports News presenter Tom White has become the latest ambassador for the Children\u2019s Hospital Charity in Sheffield.<\/span><\/p>\n

The charity support Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital work in funding vital research and developing facilities to help treat sick children.<\/span><\/p>\n

White, who leads the channel\u2019s Good Morning Transfers<\/em> and Transfer Talk<\/em> coverage and is a parent himself, said he had no hesitation in getting involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

White said: \u201cIt’s difficult not to be passionate when people are working so hard to, one, save sick children’s lives and, two, make their lives better.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But when you are in a position where you are a parent I guess it does make it feel even more so (passionate).”<\/p>\n

The charity are currently raising money to build a new Cancer and Leukaemia ward for the 90 young patients who are treated there every year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert Gurruchaga, Philanthropy Officer at The Children\u2019s Hospital Charity, said White\u2019s involvement will significantly help raise awareness of the latest project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gurruchaga said: \u201cTom is a huge supporter of the charity’s mission and is committed to helping us complete the fundraising for a new Cancer and Leukaemia ward. <\/span><\/p>\n

“We are really happy to have him on Team Theo.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
