Sheffield locals are disappointed amid news of the Portuguese java shop to shut up shop for the final time since COVID. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The popular city centre coffee shop Lisboa Caf\u00e9 and Patisserie has announced that it is sadly closing its doors due to the cost-of-living crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lisboa Caf\u00e9 and Patisserie said it would be closing the doors at the St Paul\u2019s Parade, in the centre of Sheffield for the final time this Sunday, February 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The only branch to remain open is the one in Crookes, however the management state there are plans for expansion in the future once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Worker of the city centre branch, Vyte, said: \u2018The number of people entering the city centre and passing by the peace gardens has dropped drastically. It just isn\u2019t busy enough to remain open, when the cost of being open is so expensive\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ben Whyte who is part of the management team for Lisboa Caf\u00e9 and Patisserie, confirmed that the only site to remain operational for the foreseeable future is the site at Crookes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added his future hopes for a rapid change within the economy to bring back the amount of customers they once had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A regular visitor to this branch, sat on one of the last days of being open was deeply saddened as he stated that they served his \u2018\u2019favourite coffee\u2019\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Munir Hussain, Gatefield Road, Sheffield, said: “Sheffield City Council have to do more, small businesses are going to suffer unless they offer a helping hand\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lisboa Caf\u00e9 Patisserie branch at Crookes will be open seven days a week between the hours 09:00 \u2013 17:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
