The women of Sheffield are coming together on International Women\u2019s Day for an inspirational evening of conversation, recognition and cheerleading of one another run by In Good Company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be held on Wednesday 8 March at 7pm at The Mowbray in Kelham Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will feature five female panellists speaking on their experiences in business and life including Paulette Edwards, BBC Radio Sheffield presenter, Alex Maher, TikTok activist and doctoral feminism and misogyny researcher and Shelley Carline, interiors expert and Instagram influencer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founders of the company, Nic Snowden, 36, and Rachel Hirst, 36, started their business last June after seeing the gap in the market for a support system for women in Sheffield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both women were looking for a way to connect with new people for support as they entered new stages of their lives, with Hirst becoming a new mother and Snowden changing careers to be a freelancer and copywriter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hirst said: \u201cWe were thinking what is Sheffield missing in the market? Then we leaned into ourselves and asked what we like and it was that connecting with new people, which is harder to do as you get older.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs an empowering female it’s important to support people at different points in our lives and meet like minded people that we resonate with, are inspired by and can lean on. Whether it’s for a coffee or collaborating in business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Good Company<\/a> aims to bring Sheffield women together to connect and their motto is \u2018To have conversations that they never knew they needed and be inspired by people they never knew existed\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is an extension of International Women’s day and the brand. They aim to celebrate navigating life as a woman and each other\u2019s achievements, whether that is getting out of bed, getting your kids to school or winning a business award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowden said: \u201cThere\u2019s still this massive divide between men and women and we need to keep having these conversations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
