the app once to scan a QR code, then not revisiting, reusing the app, or following the full trail. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The numbers show that between February 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;and March 8<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;there were 1,625 downloads across the App and Play Store with 1,851 QR scans around the city using the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data suggests low repeat engagement levels for the first month that the art trail has been active.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also suggests people aren&#8217;t following the full trail as the number of scans would need to be 4 times the number of downloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheffield.gov.uk\">Sheffield City Council<\/a> official declined to comment but said the figures were roughly in line with what was expected at this stage of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The art trial is a permanent project for Sheffield with more locations around the city expected to be added in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tudor Square site, outside the Crucible, has the highest number of scans with over 700 known to have used it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter Up art trail<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is being run by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welcometosheffield.co.uk\/look-up\/\">Marketing Sheffield<\/a>, a subject of Sheffield City Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olivie Kalejova, 20, a Law student at the University of Sheffield, said after using the app at the Diamond location: &#8220;The concept is brilliant and I enjoyed using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I can see it being popular with parents who have kids as the app is very engaging and rewarding.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same time frame, across all \u2018Look Up\u2019 webpages the views were almost triple (5,422) the number of app downloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breaking down this data shows that Sheffield only equates to 25% of the \u2018Look Up\u2019 audience with the location drawing the most traffic being London.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is positive for Sheffield as it could potentially bring more investment, tourism and talent to Sheffield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2023\/03\/IMG_6170.jpg\" alt=\"\" codes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked if the project holds value, Chief Executive of Taxpayers\u2019 Alliance, John O\u2019Connell, said the group can\u2019t comment until a cost has been stated by the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s hard to offer a comment on taxpayer value without the total cost of the project being known.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not yet to be known how much the AR trail has cost Sheffield council, but we do know it was funded by the&nbsp;\u00a3900 million \u2018Getting Building Grant\u2019 which was handed out by central government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shefnews has put in an FOI request to Sheffield City Council to receive information about its cost but has received no response as of yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
