The art festival Open Up Sheffield has hosted almost 100 artists so far this year, continuing its reputation as one of the most respected creative events in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the last month, Open Up Sheffield encouraged visitors to explore art spaces and observe local artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many artists have been participating in the event since 1998 and view it as a vital space to promote their work to the local community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mandy Nesbitt makes intricate jewellery and is based in the city centre. She said: “I think it’s quite interesting to know how things are made. You can go and mooch around other people’s space and see what they do. I think it’s fascinating.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
