Sheffield’s Corporation nightclub was cleared in the early hours of Sunday morning following a report to the police by a woman stating she had been raped. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corporation nightclub on Milton Street was emptied on Sunday, February 4, at around 2am, following a reported sexual attack. Today, South Yorkshire Police announced a 19 year old man who was taken into custody on suspicion of rape, has been released on bail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The nightclub has since responded to the incident, outlining new procedures including setting up a new hotline with the number displayed in all toilets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement issued also outlined that the club has been working closely with the police, “providing full cooperation and assistance in their ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police have expressed their satisfaction and are pleased with the measures we have in place implemented to aid their efforts”, they added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the statement made on Corporation’s Instagram account on Wednesday they reassured customers that “the safety of all who attend are of the upmost importance.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
South Yorkshire Police in a statement have said: “Specialist officers are providing support to the woman as enquiries continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
