I usually take the tram because I have a problem with car sickness and the bus is so bumpy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m not well enough to drive and when I found out that the track was broken, I felt terrible and the thought of taking the bus for more than an hour, This is a nightmare for a person who is carsick\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Valid tickets are being accepted first in the affected areas. This is the case until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The replacement buses will take over the routes until the tram track is repaired and the frequency of departures will increase to every 12 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/WechatIMG443-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55207\" style=\"width:662px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">120 bus (image by Peter Li)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/WechatIMG446-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55208\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Middlewood tram on West Street (Image: Peter Li)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrew Small, 26, barista, Hollinsend,  was also frustrated by the situation as it usually takes him about 20 minutes to get to the city centre, but because the tram is out of service, he had to take the bus to work, which took him nearly twice as long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Small said: &#8220;I also had to prevent other problems, because there were many people coming to the city centre in the morning, and the bus was crowded. There&#8217;s no way I am paying 30 quid for a round trip Uber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFortunately, they have increased the frequency, because I come to the city centre every day. So it&#8217;s affected me to some extent, and hopefully it&#8217;ll be fixed soon, but I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;ll take a few days.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customer services at Stagecoach have been contacted but have not made a comment as of yet.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sheffield Supertram broken track: replacement buses will take over the routes from Sheffield city centre to Halfway.
