The 1867 Group plan to voice their discontent once again with owner Chansiri, as more protests are planned for next week’s fixtures against Plymouth and Leeds.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jake, 36, a member of the fan group said: \u201cMy first-time watching Wednesday was on the back end of the glory days and I didn’t see much of that. I\u2019ve seen a lot of poor chairmen, I\u2019ve seen a lot of poor managers, I\u2019ve seen some bad football, but I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever seen an owner so incompetent, top to bottom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It won’t be the first time this season Hillsborough has seen demonstrations. Previous protests occurred at games against Middlesbrough and Birmingham, the most recent involved posters that called for Chansiri’s departure being waved by thousands of those in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protests came after what the fans feel like are \u2018years of neglect\u2019 by those in charge of the club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jake added: \u201cThe start of the downfall was the overspending; we didn’t know that at the time but after those first two seasons we just saw a gradual decline and it just got worse and worse. Points deductions, embargos, players not paid, terrible PR, expensive season tickets, expensive merchandise, the list goes on and on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since their first demonstration earlier this season, the fan group has steadily gained more support from like-minded Owls fans feeling frustrated with the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethan Grzesiek, 31, a Wednesday fan who regularly attends matches, echoed the criticisms of Chansiri and voiced his support for the group. He said: “As a club we get negative press because of him, there\u2019s never anything positive. For example, Darren Moore getting sacked when we\u2019d just won promotion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStart of this season, Xisco sat next to him saying that we need to achieve playoffs at a minimum and then gets players who aren\u2019t good enough for this league. So yes, I fully support them!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group has announced that the posters will make a return with the success of a fundraising campaign allowing for 20,000 flyers to be present for the Friday night game against Leeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the Plymouth game on Wednesday night, the group said: \u201cwe want to keep that under wraps for now, so it has the utmost impact.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
