Artists and crews at this summer’s Tramlines festival can expect new safety measures backstage after organised secured funding for a Safe Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music Support\u2019s Safe Hubs aim to provide a safe space for artists and crew to speak confidentially to a fully trained and qualified staff member or volunteer about anything they may be experiencing, or to seek advice about clinical signposting for themselves or others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tramlines will be provided with four members of Music Support staff, trained to deal with issues of mental health, first aid, addiction and recovery awareness, and self-care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facilities has been made by a partnership between AIF, Music Support and The Christopher Meredith Foundation, with AIF members having been applied for a fully-funded Safe Hub set up the end of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Safe Hub will be a valuable asset to Tramline in 2024, benefiting not only artists and crew who are on the road for months at a time but also those who are taking their first step in the industry,\u201d said Pia Rose Scattergood, Junior Event producer at Tramlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 16th<\/sup>\u00a0Tramlines festival, an annual celebration of art, music, and community, returns from Friday 26th<\/sup>\u00a0to Sunday 28th<\/sup>\u00a0July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paolo Nutini, Jamie T and Snow Patrol will be headline the event, along with Bombay Bicycle Club, The Charlatans, Holly Humberstone and more also performing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah Johnson, a long term attendee, said: \u201cTramlines always brings such a fantastic atmosphere to Sheffield. It is not just about the music, it\u2019s about coming together as a community and celebrating our city\u2019s vibrant culture. I\u2019ve made so many memories these years, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this incredible event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Festival organisers say Tramlines is a platform to champion community and social inclusion. The festival collaborates with the Charity Trustee Sub-Committee to raise fund for charities and build up better Sheffield\u2019s brand and reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheffield City Council has announced the approval for the popular festival for the foreseeable future five years at the Hillsborough Park with a revised license agreement at a meeting on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This included the \u00a310,000 annual fee of park protection form any damage and decisions around cancelling the event will be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTramlines Festival bring enormous benefits to the city and is enjoyed and celebrated by many.\u201d Councillor Ian Auckland, Chair of the Charity Trustee Sub-Committee at Sheffield City Council, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHowever, it is crucial that we protect our parks and it\u2019s great to see that we have revised our licence agreement to reflect this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the committee meeting, it was stressed that money are used for improvement other than maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
