{"id":58744,"date":"2024-04-18T13:11:51","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T13:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/?p=58744"},"modified":"2024-04-18T13:54:23","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T13:54:23","slug":"fundraisers-set-to-abseil-down-sheffield-hallams-owen-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/04\/18\/fundraisers-set-to-abseil-down-sheffield-hallams-owen-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundraisers set to abseil down Sheffield Hallam&#8217;s Owen Building"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A team of abseilers are set to scale one of Sheffield Hallam&#8217;s university buildings in a bid to raise money for The Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Team Theo\u2019s Abseil\u2019, named after the Children&#8217;s Hospital&#8217;s Charity mascot, will take place on Sunday from 10am until 4pm with people abseiling down the 140ft Owen building.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The supporters involved have already raised more than \u00a310,000 of their \u00a315,000 goal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the abseilers, Lauren Morton, 35, said: \u201cI want to raise money for a great charity, it\u2019s something to test myself a little because I am terrified of heights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m expecting to be absolutely petrified while doing it but when I get to the bottom I\u2019ll think yes, I\u2019ve done it. It\u2019s an accomplishment.
