Credit: The Maddy Cusack Foundation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Maddy\u2019s younger sister, Olivia Cusack, said: \u201cWe created The Maddy Cusack Foundation to help and benefit young and aspiring female footballers on their journey to play at a professional level, like my sister Maddy did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is incredibly important that we continue to be supported and recognised so that we can help these girls and hopefully make the changes that are needed within the world of women\u2019s football.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the weeks following the Blades\u2019 star&#8217;s death her family submitted a complaint to her club alleging that her manager, Jonathan Morgan, was responsible for causing the \u2018emotional anguish\u2019 that they believe led to her taking her own life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite an external investigation finding no evidence of wrongdoing, the Football Association is considering launching an investigation into her family\u2019s complaints after MP Caroline Dinenage deemed Sheffield United\u2019s handling of the case as \u201cseemingly quite flawed\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EFD Sport and Education sponsored the foundation&#8217;s 40 mile memorial walk from Maddy\u2019s home in Derby to Bramall Lane, where she played for the Blades.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_3463-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-59070\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_3463-1-980x735.jpg 980w, https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_3463-1-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Maddy Cusack Foundation and EFD Sports and Education team during their walk from her home to Bramall Lane.
