{"id":59260,"date":"2024-04-25T11:08:10","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T11:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/?p=59260"},"modified":"2024-04-25T11:26:55","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T11:26:55","slug":"charity-continues-fundraising-plea-for-new-national-research-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/04\/25\/charity-continues-fundraising-plea-for-new-national-research-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Charity continues fundraising plea for new national research centre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Sheffield Children&#8217;s Hospital charity have continued their fundraising efforts after they pledged two million pounds to a new national centre for child health technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Theos abseil was the charities most recent event with around 50 people abseiling 140ft down Sheffield Hallam University\u2019s Owen building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phoebe Marriott, Events Fundraising Officer, said: \u201cWe are immensely grateful for everyone who has contributed whether it be a pound or ten pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe day was very successful, and it ran very smoothly, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we were really lucky with the weather.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charity is a key partner and funder of the new project at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
