A 17-year-old boy appeared in Magistrates\u2019 Court today, charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to three people at Birley Academy School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was brought up from custody to Sheffield Magistrates\u2019 Court shortly after 1pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He appeared in the dock wearing a light grey jumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prosecutor Jennifer Pender said the teenager is charged with three counts of attempted grievous bodily harm, and one count of possession of a sharp pointed article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He did not enter a plea at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boy appeared before the District Judge, James Gould.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Judge Gould refused the teenager bail and remanded him into youth detention accommodation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said after the incident at Birley Academy on Wednesday 1 May, two people suffered minor injuries and one person was uninjured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
