A much-loved craft market run by volunteers at a community centre in Rotherham was held at the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dozens flocked to The Centre in Brinsworth on Sunday for a monthly market, where the Brinsworth Community Trust Tombola raised over \u00a3120 for other projects and events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The market’s organiser, Cheryl Jones, 56, said: “One thing about the craft market is it’s predominantly organised and run by volunteers, and if it weren’t for them, this event would not exist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I think it’s a great way of people who want to get involved with the community life, getting involved with this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“They get so much out of it, and it’s fantastic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stallholders from across the community came together to sell handmade crafts, cakes, sweets, bric-\u00e1-brac, face painting, tombola, a raffle, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One visitor, Paul, said: “I’ve come to this craft fair quite a few times now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“There’s a good diversity of products. Most of them are homemade, and there’s quite a few stalls that are for charity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I think it’s great. I’ll keep coming because it gets people together, especially after Covid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“People have been separated, so I hope it continues to get back to that community atmosphere.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
