{"id":61027,"date":"2024-05-10T14:24:57","date_gmt":"2024-05-10T14:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/?p=61027"},"modified":"2024-05-10T14:24:59","modified_gmt":"2024-05-10T14:24:59","slug":"watch-sheffield-trampolining-group-host-charity-fundraiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/05\/10\/watch-sheffield-trampolining-group-host-charity-fundraiser\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: Sheffield trampolining group host charity fundraiser"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Sheffield trampolining group is hosting a 12 hour \u201cbounce-a-thon\u201d to raise money for a South Yorkshire charity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Sheffield Trampolining Society is hosting the event to support The Snowdrop Project, a charity which helps supports and empowers victims of Modern Slavery.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charity was founded in 2012 and has since expanded across South Yorkshire.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rachael Norman, the group\u2019s Charity Secretary, said that the group was aiming to raise \u00a31,000, having passed a quarter of that target by lunchtime.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is open to the community, with staff, students and members of the public being invited to come down and donate to the event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also raffles supporting the charity and offering a wide range of prizes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Trampolining Video Story Final\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2_HWag_PvxA?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Norman says that the event is now in it\u2019s tenth year and this year is in Goodwin Sports Centre Sports Hall on Northumberland Road, Sheffield.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ella, a Competition Secretary within the group, said: \u201cI just love to trampoline so getting to do it for twelve hours is right up my street!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To donate to the charity directly, you can visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snowdropproject.co.uk\/\">The Snowdrop Project | A Future Free From Modern Slavery<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Sheffield trampolining group is hosting a fundraiser to support a local charity. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":651,"featured_media":61036,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17,415,21],"tags":[64,38,1511,1510],"class_list":["post-61027","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-charity","category-community","category-news","tag-charity","tag-sheffield","tag-studnets","tag-trampolining"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
