{"id":61214,"date":"2024-05-16T11:19:47","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T11:19:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/?p=61214"},"modified":"2024-05-16T11:19:49","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T11:19:49","slug":"artist-auctions-one-of-a-kind-piece-for-oddballs-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/05\/16\/artist-auctions-one-of-a-kind-piece-for-oddballs-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Artist auctions one of a kind piece for Oddballs Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sheffield&#8217;s Fight Night held its third event at Forge Warehouse in support of the Oddballs Foundation, a testicular cancer charity.<br><br>Oddballs host talks in both schools and workplaces in an effort to spread awareness of the signs and impacts of the illness.<br><br>Artist Joe Blackwell took this as an opportunity to design and auction a new art piece which he called \u2018Fight\u2019.<br><br>The piece is described as a \u2018unique and 3D piece of wall art, which is heavily influenced by street art and graffiti, with homages to oddballs branding.\u2019<br><br>Having suffered from a form of cancer himself in his early life, Joe was keen to get involved with the project.<br><br>He said: \u201cStraight away I knew this was something I could get behind and wanted to help fundraise for.<br><br>&#8220;The majority of the fighters raised money through ticket sales and donations, whereas I was given a lot of free reign when it came to how I wanted to fundraise.\u201d<br><br>The piece was sold on the night for \u00a3800.
