A Sheffield man has been jailed for repeated shoplifting offences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lee Gardener, 36, of White Thorns Drive, Sheffield appeared in Sheffield Magistrates Court on Monday (3 March) charged with 13 counts of theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Retail Crime Officer Tony Nicholls, from the Sheffield Retail Crime Team said: \u201cGardener committed more than a dozen thefts over a two-month period, showing a total disregard for the law.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gardener stole around \u00a33000 worth of items between 3 January and 2 March 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gardener was arrested on 3 March and appeared in court the same day. He was sentenced to one year in prison and fined \u00a3750 in compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officer Nicholls added: \u201cI am glad that Gardener has been jailed for his repeat offending and hope that his time behind bars is the wakeup call he needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gardener pleaded guilty to all 13 charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
