HC-One\u2019s Ascot Lodge Care Home<\/a> have donated toys to The Children\u2019s Hospital Charity<\/a>, aiming to bring joy to young patients<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ascot Lodge, located in Intake, near Sheffield, offers dementia care, and donated over 40 toys, including games, puzzles, stuffed animals, and arts and crafts sets, on March 10th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The toys were selected and wrapped at the care home by residents, relatives, and colleagues, who then visited to drop off the gifts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jess Hayes, Manager at the home, said: \u201cWe were happy to help The Children\u2019s Hospital Charity make a brighter future for those receiving support and care at Sheffield Children\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s important to us at Ascot Lodge to build connections with our local community including charity organisations <\/a>and to offer our support to them.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The donation forms part of Ascot Lodge\u2019s new outreach initiative, which encourages giving back to the wider community.

The care home regularly engages in activities and partnerships that benefit local causes, reinforcing its commitment to supporting important initiatives and making a positive impact on young lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


David Purshouse, a resident at the care home who took part in the activity, said: \u201cIt\u2019s important to support the children and to let them know that we care about them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives at The Children’s Hospital Charity expressed their gratitude for the donation by sending a letter of thanks to the care home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the message, the Charity expressed their gratitude: \u201cPlease accept our most sincere thanks for your kind donation of toys recently received by The Children\u2019s Hospital Charity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour generosity means we can help change young lives at Sheffield Children\u2019s, and it means so much.\u201d

Sheffield Children\u2019s is one of three standalone children\u2019s hospitals in the UK a<\/a>nd provides integrated healthcare for children and young people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hospital offers a wide variety of specialist services, including mental health services, ensuring comprehensive care for all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have urged all to make donations \u2018no matter how large or small\u2019 to fund specialist medical equipment, clinical research trials and \u2018provide distraction to anxious kids\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n
