A new film premiered in Barnsley on Monday that celebrates the town’s community and heritage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sam Batley is the director of \u2018The Town I Love So Well\u2019 that screened at The Parkway Cinema on Eldon Street and was followed by a Q&A. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said: \u201cI think it\u2019s changed my relationship to the town and that\u2019s been lovely. Ultimately, I\u2019m chuffed that loads of people are coming but I feel pretty chuffed with what I\u2019ve made.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The documentary is part of a wider project called \u2018A Barnsley story\u2019 and Mr Batley’s photography is also featured in an exhibition at The Civic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is funded by \u2018Storying Barnsley\u2019, Barnsley Council\u2019s cultural development fund programme that celebrates creativity in the town.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
