He said: \u201cOn May 4th, I\u2019ll be stepping out at Bramall Lane against him (Wilder). There\u2019s gonna be blood, guts and thunder, mark my words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a charity very close to my heart. Last year, I lost my father to cancer. I know how it feels, I know how it hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A clash for the ages \u2694 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OB3UkQlznx\">pic.twitter.com\/OB3UkQlznx<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Sheffield United (@SheffieldUnited) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SheffieldUnited\/status\/1906645142238339166?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 31, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>The match will also serve as a testimonial to former Blades captain Chris Basham, who made 394 appearances over a 10 year stint at Bramall Lane.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Basham and a group of his ex-teammates will form a team which is to be led by Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking about the upcoming event at a press conference on Friday, Wilder said: It\u2019s brilliant. Most importantly, it will raise money for an important team at Weston Park. I\u2019m delighted that Steve has put aside our rivalries and has agreed to the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTicket sales have been incredible, the amount of interest has been great and I&#8217;m sure it\u2019ll grow and grow.
