Sheffield Wednesday owner and Thai businessman Dejphon Chansiri hasn’t paid his players’ wages in March, due to financial constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A statement claims that it’s down to “significant sums of money owed to the chairmen’s businesses”, disrupting the club’s cashflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fan trust has been on a steep decline since they were placed in their second transfer embargo in twelve months in November, over debts to HMRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sheffield Wednesday fan Sam Burton criticised the club’s ownership, and thinks that it’s time to sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then in 2023, Chansiri asked Wednesday fans to raise \u00a32 million in order to pay his debts off, with the club escaping relegation on the final day of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
