Fresh artists have been put on the bill for Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday’s lineup, a day curated by Sheffield’s own britpop legends Pulp, has had two big names added, including local star Ed Cosens of Reverend and the Makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Councillor Kurtis Crossland, Chair of communities, parks and leisure committee, said: \u201cWe’ve got such a good music heritage and Tramlines reminds us that we are good at music and culture as a city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBefore I got into politics, I used to work at Corporation as a DJ, so music is something I love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining Pulp and Ed Cosens on Friday will be poet John Cooper Clarke<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooper Clarke is the author behind Sheffield band Arctic Monkey’s song \u2018I Wanna Be Yours\u2019 off of their Brit Award-winning<\/a> album AM<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The poet, originally from Salford, is also renowned for his poem \u2018Sheffield\u2019, an ode to his love of Steel City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
