A protest took place yesterday, where activists opposed the proposed construction of a new McDonald’s drive-thru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demonstration, organised by the Sheffield Green Party<\/a>, stemmed from concerns surrounding the development’s proximity to a primary school<\/a> and its adverse environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also aimed to highlight the fast-food chains’ ties to the Israeli army and their alleged ‘complicity in genocide’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynsey Angel, an activist, said: “It’s important we give people a voice, they don’t want this here, and they should be able to do something about that.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
