Popular food chain, Papa’s Fish and Chips, returns after its unforeseen closure in August 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant, located in Crystal Peaks, celebrated its grand reopening last Thursday 15 May, by selling fish and chips for \u00a31 all day long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant originally opened in December 2022, but closed suddenly nine months later after weeks of uncertainty, with some customers reporting it closed during opening hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liam Gladwin, Operations Director for Papa’s Fish and Chips, said: “We as a business are proud, we had our struggles with recruitment as well as other things that were out of our control so it was a shame to close.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naturally the closure was met with a lot of disappointment from its loyal customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a great local food spot in Sheffield, it created a close knit community of food lovers and brought pride to Sheffield with one of the best fish and chips restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Gladwin said: “We’re proud of the products we serve and we deliver a menu that we are really proud of.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bond between Papa’s and it’s customers is strong – one that’s built through the years of quality service and dedication to tradition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2025, the sign had changed from “closed” to “closed until further notice”. With everything clear and ready to go the restaurant reopened this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Gladwin said: “When we are ready we open. The worst thing a business in hospitality can do is to open the store up too quickly. When we get to that position, we must assess the situation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New manager, Michelle Morley, who has more than 30 years in the industry said: “Our \u00a31 fish and chips was a way to thank our loyal customers and for our new ones to experience the positive changes that we have made.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papa’s fish and chips has won many awards, such as: Britain’s best and largest fish and chips in the UK as well as being televised in 2017 on BBC News. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
