font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u00a0He explained that the company had dropped the news on them earlier in the week, giving no earlier warning that they had planned to raise bus fares starting next month, giving them no time to react.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-67265412-7fff-7ff2-e861-9b173c26fde3\" style=\"white-space: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">The planned increase would add 30p to a student single fare, bringing it from \u00a31.50 to \u00a31.80, adding on to the existing cost of living crisis many young people, in particular students, are facing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-67265412-7fff-7ff2-e861-9b173c26fde3\" style=\"white-space: normal;
