{"id":67158,"date":"2026-02-20T09:30:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T09:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/?p=67158"},"modified":"2026-02-20T09:30:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T09:30:14","slug":"sheffield-venue-sells-out-uks-biggest-student-night-in-record-19-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shefnews.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/20\/sheffield-venue-sells-out-uks-biggest-student-night-in-record-19-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield venue sells out UK\u2019s biggest student night in record 19 minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>By Elke Spiers and Alana Breslin<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets for Tropiloco\u2019s one-night-only club event went on sale on Monday night, but they did not last long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundry, where the event will be hosted, has a capacity of 1,800 people, but it took less than 20 minutes to sell out the venue and there are still waiting lists for those hoping to gain access.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets were sold in six releases, ranging from \u00a31 to \u00a38 as availability decreased, and up to 8 were available to purchase per person.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tropiloco is consistently branded as the \u2018UK\u2019s biggest student party\u2019 and has expanded rapidly since 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand has operated in many major UK cities including Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, with more permanent weekly events in some locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched by Loosedays, their club nights are known for their high energy events, DJs, fruit platters and crazy themes, as well as their strong association with official sponsor VK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ShefNews spoke to Chiara Padovan, who was quick enough to secure tickets. She said: \u201cYesterday I got tickets to Tropiloco. I signed up for the prerelease and they were sold out within like two minutes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s actually gonna be the biggest club night of the year. I\u2019m so excited. They\u2019ve been to Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds and now they\u2019re finally coming to Sheffield.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the announcement of its arrival in Sheffield at the start of February, Tropiloco\u2019s social media team have worked hard to promote the event.
