Weston Park’s \u00a31.85m project to purchase and install an MRI machine is in its final stages, after it was announced that donations have reached a sum of \u00a31.4m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief executive Emma Clarke said: \u201cThe way our community has rallied together behind the appeal has been nothing short of inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to personally thank everyone who has helped us to reach this fantastic \u00a31.4m fundraising milestone – your generosity and kindness will save lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe appeal\u2019s fundraising goal of \u00a31.85m is now in our sights and every pound raised takes us one step closer to bringing this revolutionary MRI simulator to South Yorkshire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They hope the tool will enable clinicians to deliver radiotherapy with far greater accuracy, reducing side effects and boosting survival rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their growing demand for cancer services is set to be alleviated after this milestone has been accomplished in its fundraising quest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
