Following Sheffield United\u2019s 2-1 defeat to Coventry on Wednesday, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder stressed that his players have to be fully fit in order to compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe players are a little bit hurt, bruised and sore after those daft eight minutes,\u201d Wilder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCoventry decided on those big moments and we didn\u2019t. Certain decisions in the game went against us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wilder hasn\u2019t let Wednesday\u2019s outcome knock down club spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere was a big effort from the team on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe can only get better individually and learn from it. If they don\u2019t learn they won\u2019t be the players on the team.\u201d Wilder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are in it to win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After Wilder made his return to Sheffield United this season, he made clear of his dedication to moving the club forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am a servant to my football club. My job is to work with people, it always has been and I always have done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI always say my opinion and I give my experience, which is important in helping the players grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite recent scrutiny over his behaviour last season, Wilder remains undaunted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou do get a little bit frustrated at times, but tactically we are in a decent position. You don\u2019t survive in this business without learning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The use of previous players involving themselves with the squad has seemed to be praised by Wilder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am a fan of ex players being around the football club. I expect them to be good role models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe message from player to player is key.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wilder emphasised his full focus is preparing for the upcoming game against Queen Park Rangers this weekend. Whilst both sides have shared wins and draws in recent seasons, Wilder said he expected Queen Park Rangers to perform their best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u201cIn these difficult times we are going full steam ahead.” Wilder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHistorically for us, we enjoy going to their ground and so do our supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need to prepare winners like champions and there have been signs that we can grind it out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite pressures of the season and Wednesday\u2019s result, Wilder and the team are continuously aiming to do their absolute best in their upcoming games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
