The Sheffield food festival is set to take place from 23 May to 26 May over the May bank holiday weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival aims to celebrate the food, music and culture of Sheffield with free entry over the course of the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is set to have over 60 vendors this year, most of whom are local businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Perkins, owner of Urban Cuisine, said: \u201cI\u2019ve been to the festival as a customer in the past and there was a wide variety of street food available, so I thought I could add my flair and get the street food season kicked off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheffield food festival has a wide variety of vendors available for the public to enjoy such as a number of street food stalls, drinks and deserts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will also have a number of artists from Sheffield that are just getting their start organised by Grassroots Sheffield, which is a community driven music project that aims to highlight upcoming artists in Sheffield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organisers are hoping that this event will bring together a community of people from all over Sheffield to enjoy the food and music.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Perkins said: \u201cThese events are a good way to showcase all different types of food and bring people to the city, the atmosphere on the day is a big draw.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also provides local businesses a way to advertise their products and boost their sales on the weekend of the festival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Perkins said that due to the economical climate, especially following Covid-19, events like this are important for businesses because they are a good source of revenue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the festival attracting over 50,000 visitors each year, it acts as an important annual event for Sheffield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Perkins said: \u201cIt brings me a lot of joy for people to enjoy the food I make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This year, I\u2019m using my loaded flatbread menu from when I started. It covers a lot of bases with its flavours and ingredients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
