Sheffield United’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against West Bromwich Albion has been postponed following the Blades’ FA cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.

Paul Heckingbottom’s men will now face fellow championship side Blackburn Rovers in the FA cup instead of the Baggies on the weekend commencing March 18, after Iliman Ndiaye fired the Blades into the quarter final of the competition.

The two sides will have met twice already this season in league competition, with the return fixture seeing a rampant 3-0 victory from the Blades and an away day to come at Ewood Road tomorrow on March 4.

The league clash against the Baggies has now been rescheduled to take place at home on Tuesday 25 April, as United look to continue their fine run of form and cement their position in second place.

Goals from Ndiaye and McBurnie saw the Blades leave The Hawthorns with all 3 points the last time the two sides met in August.
