Weather maps have shown heavy rain and snow hitting the north of the UK this weekend.
The Met Office has said: “A cold start Saturday, then bright until late afternoon, with rain arriving during the evening. Early cloud clearing to showers Sunday. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain Monday. Temperatures near normal.”
