Universities came together on international women’s day for a netball tournament at Ponds Forge.
The tournament was attended by the universities Derby, Nottingham, Hull and both Sheffield universities.
Nottingham came out on top, beating the University of Sheffield in the final.
The day began at 10am and concluded with a raffle, prizes included amazon vouchers and BarOne bar tabs.
Event Organiser Janna Holtby said, “I think it’s really important because most development teams don’t end up playing people their own age they typically play in local leagues.”
Sheffield has recently become a hub for many netball events, having also hosted the first Netball Super Cup at the Utilita Arena on Saturday.
