Sheffield residents are being encouraged to reconnect with nature through a hands-on foraging workshop that teaches participants how to safely identify wild foods found in local spaces.

Event runner Joel Young said the sessions are designed to be interactive and educational, allowing participants to get experience.

He also wants to see a push towards younger people taking an interest in their local spaces as there is a lot to learn.

Mr Young added: “I know it sounds cliché, but I really want to see the younger generation go outside and experience the things around them.”

The ‘Forage and Nibble’ sessions are open to everyone; they aim to provide a way for people to explore nature whilst learning practical skills.
