Sheffield Wednesday suffered their fifth defeat in a row against South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United on Wednesday night.
The Owls new manager Darren Moore saw his side make the worst possible start as they trailed after 17 minutes with Michael Smith directing a pinpoint header into the bottom corner.
Despite his goal, Smith would become the villain for Paul Warne’s side as he was shown a straight red for an apparent headbutt on Wednesday’s Julian Börner which the home side took advantage of with an equaliser via a calamitous own goal from Matthew Olosunde in the 82nd.
With the scores level, Rotherham countered their relegation rivals before a rocket of a shot from Freddie Ladapo won it in the last minute of added time, sending the visitors bench into euphorics.
