Sheffield Steelers have finalised their 2021 squad following Monday’s Elite Ice Hockey League Draft.
Speaking ahead of the event, Sheffield Steelers Head Coach Aaron Fox confirmed the side had retained current Steelers Jonathan Phillips, Davey Phillips, Robert Dowd, Liam Kirk and Brendan Connolly.
Fox said: ‘’Robert is an obvious decision for us. He’s a premier Brit forward in this League and a no-brainer to put on our list.’’
During the draft, the club managed to sign the likes of Cardiff forward Mathew Myers, Sam Jones, Josh Waller (Guildford), Alex Graham, Ben Churchfield, Jason Hewitt and Adam Jones in the squad.
Hewitt has the second largest number of appearances for Steelers, having played 682 games and scoring 104 goals.
