A medical centre in Sheffield is appealing for information after it was targeted by vandals who caused “considerable damage” to their roof.
The incident at Hackenthorpe Medical Centre happened on the night of Friday 19 March, but staff have issued a fresh plea in a new effort to find the perpetrators.
In a post to Facebook, they said: “We are really shocked and extremely upset. Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, not only at Hackenthorpe but also at Beighton.
“It is very upsetting for all staff who are doing their best to keep services going during this very difficult time.”
The centre has played a part in the UK’s vaccination drive and offers clinics for chronic disease care and checkups.
One local resident who regularly attends the centre, John Simpson, said the vandalism was “absolutely disgusting” and the vandals should be “locked up”.

He added: “The staff have worked so hard here. My son helps with the vaccination programme and everyone who is involved with it is a hero.”
The centre says they will do everything they can to make sure services continue and disruption is kept to a minimum, but there may be some building work that takes place to make sure the building is still safe and secure.
Others commented on the post: “I’m so sorry to hear this, you are all such a wonderful, hardworking and respected team. I hope the police find whoever did it.”
The centre continued: “Thank you in advance for being understanding, as you will appreciate this is a very difficult time for our amazing staff.
“We hope we can support you through the ups and downs, as we set out to rebuild our lives in the coming year.”
