Foxhill Forum are starting a brand-new baking club for adults which will provide the ingredients for free allowing anyone to join.
The session will run for five weeks staring on 7 May with the first session being an introduction in which the group will get to know one another and decide together on the tasty treats the group can bake.
Although the first session will happen over Zoom, if everything goes to plan the sessions may be able to be held in person at the Forum in the coming weeks.
The building is COVID safe and will observe social distancing guidelines so in-person sessions can go ahead with a limited number of people.
The club was started by Miah Sanghera, a management trainee and English Literature graduate from University of Sheffield whose role is to create activities for the community.
She said: “I love baking and Great British Bake off is such a popular show, I thought it would be a nice activity for everyone to do together.”
The club has had good feedback on social media and if it is popular enough, another baking club will be made so that more people can attend the in-person sessions.
The club is will be open to anyone local to the Foxhill area who is willing to get stuck in and socialise with the community.
Whether you’re an experienced baker or you have never picked a whisk up in your life, the baking club will be for anyone who is interested in whipping up some delicious homemade treats.
If you’re interested in participating then please get in contact with Miah by the 3rd of May at 4pm either through email, miah.sanghera@foxhill-forum.co.uk, or phone 0114 231 5522 or you can send her a message on Facebook.
