Sheffield FC have announced exciting plans to build a new stadium and training centre in Meadowhead.
The historic club who proudly holds the reputation as ‘The World’s First Football Club’ are hoping to get permission from the council to transform the premises which is currently Sheffield Transport Sports Club.
Sheffield FC had planned to move to the Olive Grove sports ground in Heeley, but was forced to look elsewhere after those proposals fell through.
The club’s chairman Richard Tims said: “This will be somewhere to which the sport’s three billion fans can make a pilgrimage and pay homage to the city which gave the world the beautiful game.”
