The Granite Peak Ski Resort has come up with some exciting events to make use of Rib Mountain State Park while the snow melts.
The ski hill located in Wausau, Wisconsin held a pond skim competition as part of ‘Spring Fling’ weekend on the 28 March. Competitors were challenged to begin at the top of the mountain and skim over a temporary, 4 feet pond of water, without falling in.
Contestants were dressed up in various themes of essential workers as doctors, fire services, and even superheroes.
There were some rough spills, but many people gathered to cheer on the fun and get splashed along the way.
The winner of best costume and pond skim won a 2021-22 season pass to Granite Peak.
