Five fire engines and several unmarked Fire and Rescue vehicles rushed to the scene, Richmond Park Road
The blaze broke out in The Furniture Outlet, a furniture shop in Handsworth area.
A firefighter on the scene said: “The fire is under control now, the situation is fine”.
A vehicle belonging to the Caden gas network was also present at the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has launched an investigation into the incident.
