A Rotherham father of two is walking 100 kilometres to raise money for MS awareness week, following his wife’s diagnosis.

Ben Mason, 46, a professional golfer, will be walking and running across the week has raised nearly £500 for the MS Society, Sheffield and Rotherham Group.

His wife, Jo, 41, was diagnosed with MS nearly two years ago and has since had to stop working. She was formerly a music and drama teacher.

She said: “More needs to happen because people don’t know about this, and I think its because there aren’t those communities, and it does affect a much smaller group of people.”
