Sheffield added to its successful track-record in combat sports this Sunday as competitors from NiYai Muay Thai earned multiple titles at the WKO European open championships, in Barnsley.
Under the tutelage of Sheffield fighting legend and former four-time world champion Christian di Paolo a group of 6 fighters travelled to Barnsley Metronome to compete with other top European talent.
The day was very successful with 3 juniors attaining European titles including Thomas Miller, aged 10, Oliver Phillips age 11 and Jake Longford, aged 15.
They are all now ranked number one in Europe.
Also competing was 12-year-old Reuben Hall who won silver and 14 year old Alfie di Paolo who put in a great performance despite being illegally kneed in the face.
26-year-old Liam Cullen also kept hold of his number 1 ranking and European title.
