Hundreds of people in and around the city gathered together in the Peace Gardens over the weekend to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.
Led by the City Council, a brass band, mini markets of sweet and savoury food and drink stalls were open from 10am to 6pm, with a huge screen broadcasting the Coronation live from Westminster Abbey.
Some people didn’t join in with the celebrations or agree with what it stands for, with the country in an economic crisis, and the NHS struggling with increasing pressure.
However, families and friends expressed their joy for the occasion, with the event being an overall success.
