A Sheffield based charity for homeless people was invited to last weekend’s coronation celebrations in London.
Tim Renshaw, CEO of the Archer Project, was awarded a British Empire Medal in recognition for his work to support homeless people during the coronavirus pandemic, and attended the coronation of King Charles III.
Mr Renshaw said: “It was a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness of the work and project we are doing here. I was awarded the medal, but it was really on behalf of the whole group.”
The charity was set up in the 1980s in order to battle a rise in homelessness in Sheffield.
ShefNews reporter Fin Major spoke to Mr Renshaw to find out about the work of the Archer Project, and the money spent on the coronation celebrations.
