The Blades celebrated their promotion back to the Premier League yesterday with a parade, and thousands turned up to watch.
Speaking to the club’s website Lord Mayor Sioned-Mair Richards said:
“Congratulations to Sheffield United on their promotion. The victory parade is a fantastic opportunity for the team and fans to come together to celebrate.”

The Town Hall and Peace Gardens were flooded with a sea of red, white and black as Sheffield United fans poured in from all sides to catch a glimpse of their heroes.
Despite the positive atmosphere there were a few moments of trouble in the crowd, as a man collapsed after a flare was lit next to him but no medical attention was required at the scene.
