A Sheffield based wrestling school have announced that they will move into a new facility after they have experienced vast success.

Pursuit Pro Wrestling’s (PPW) new facility is only one mile away from their current location and will be larger in size.

Liam Slater, head coach at PPW said: “When we started we were just a wrestling ring in an open warehouse, with no walls or corridors. Overtime we’ve grown and developed our facility, and now we’re moving into a place that we can properly call home.

“The new facility will allow us to go from strength to strength. With extra space we can be more flexible with our training, and it’ll allow us to install bigger rings, which will seem more aesthetically pleasing from the social media side of things.

Since being founded in April 2021, PPW has gained over 70,000 followers on TikTok and have hosted training sessions led by former WWE wrestlers.

Mr Slater said: “What TikTok and instagram has been really helpful for is building the eyes we have on us, which then make our production more valuable because more people are looking at it.

“It is massive for people to train here as it’s a big opportunity to get eyes onto them.”

A tour of PPW’s current studio

PPW aims to create a vibe of a wrestling TV studio with a community feel to it inside the new facility.

Mr Slater said: “The current facility is a bit of a secret location , but once we move we can put some signage outside and make it feel a bit more homely.”

Inside the new facility they plan to hold in-house shows that the public can attend.

“It’s so important in the early stages of someone’s career to get them out in front of an audience and let the wrestling industry see that you are having matches.

“Hopefully with the public seeing our in-house shows, it’ll create opportunities for our performers to wrestle for different promotions around the country.”

Pursuit Pro Wrestling (PPW) will move from Southbank Warehouse, Effingham road to Fitzwalter Road and will open their doors 5 March.
