A man was sentenced today at Sheffield Crown Court after attacking an 80-year-old woman with dementia.
Michael Kidd, 35, attacked the lady with ornaments before sexually assaulting her and biting her.
Kidd pleaded guilty to one count of wounding with intent and two counts of sexual assault.
He received a 19 year sentence, to serve 14 years in prison and five to be served on extended licence.
Detective Constable Gary Rawlings said: “Kidd has rightfully been put behind bars for several years after subjecting his victim to a violent and prolonged attack.”
