A third person has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of man who was stabbed in a park in Sheffield
Sacad Ali, 24, died in Ponderosa Park, Netherthorpe on the morning on the 9th of March
A 25-year-old woman is the third person to be arrested since the investigation into Ali’s death was launched
This follows yesterday’s arrests of two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17 in relation to the death. All three remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood, the Senior Investigating Officer for the case, said: “There will continue to be high visibility patrols in and around Ponderosa Park following Sacad’s death and I personally want to thank local residents for their patience and understanding”
Although three arrests have been made, South Yorkshire Police are still keen to hear from anyone who lives nearby or may have any further information, as no matter how small it could be helpful with their investigation.
