Foodies will be able to take advantage of culinary delights as food market Steam Kitchen returns to the city this weekend.
Steam Kitchen is a monthly market that brings up-and-coming food vendors from the north of England into the unique Steamworks venue.
The Randall Street warehouse hosts eight traders which change every month, giving customers plenty of cuisines to choose from, as well as sweet and savoury options.
The April market boasts El Chappo Mexican, St Marcino pizza, Taste of Korea and Flat doughnuts, amongst many more.
Steamworks promises vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
There is a bar in the venue, serving draught and bottled beers, mixed drinks.
A coffee van is also always a staple at the market.
The website says, “Whether you’re a foodie or simply looking for a fun evening out, this event is perfect for everyone.”
Music, including live bands, will be played all weekend and there are plenty of picnic benches where foodies can relax to sample the foods and drinks.
DJ’s Andy H and Stoaty are playing on the Saturday at 8pm, and other live music will take place over the weekend.
Keen social media foodie and professional baker Megan James visited the market on its last two events and was impressed.
She said: “The atmosphere they created in such a huge space is impressive. The idea itself of having rotating food vendors monthly isn’t something I’ve seen before and will keep me coming back.”
She added: “If you haven’t checked it out yet, grab a friend and your dog and get down this weekend.”
Steamworks is a family and pet-friendly venue and advertises a ‘friendly community vibe’.
On the Sunday, free children’s activities such as colouring and hula hooping are available.
The market runs over the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every month.
The venue itself is also available for hire for weddings, parties, filming and exhibitions.
The space has hosted events this year such as vintage clothing markets, indie markets and night socials.
Steamworks has planned to hold a fan zone in the summer during the football Euros, advertising a massive screen and the ability for fans to book tables and even drink packages in advance.
